What an Amazing Paience God Has (Farsi)

What an amazing patience God has!

What an amazing patience God has!

If I were in His place,

The very first instance I would see injustice

Stemming out of the conscious less human being,

I would ruin the entire existence

With all its beauty and ugliness.

What an amazing patience God has!

If I were in His place,

Upon seeing several lascivious merry gatherings of abundance and joy

Next to that of hundreds of hungry people,

I would put out the very first cry of drunkenness

And turn it into a wine glass upon my lips.

What an amazing patience God has!

If I were in His place,

Upon seeing one being naked and in need,

And the other fully clothed colorfully,

I would turn the earth and the sky upside down.

What an amazing patience God has!

If I were in His place,

I would neither approve of the obedience

Of those who are blind followers,

Nor would I pay heed to the repentance of the oppressors;

Instead, I would shed the rosaries of those who pretend to be believers

Into a thousand pieces upon the palms of their own hands.

What an amazing patience God has!

If I were in His place,

For the sake of one Majnun only,

I would restlessly seek in the desert

Not only for one but thousands of lovely Laylas

Hill by hill, mountain by mountain

And drive them demented!

What an amazing patience God has!

If I were in His place,

I would, around the burning candle of the lost lovers’ hearts,

Turn the entire existence of the unfaithful beloved into a burning butterfly.

What an amazing patience God has!

If I were in His place,

While at the throne of my grandeur,

With all my Godly patience,

Upon seeing one of my creatures

Treating another with contempt and disrespect,

I would not hesitate

To turn this table upside down and to reverse its course!

What an amazing patience God has!

If I were in His place,

Upon seeing the disturbed state of the learned and the commoner,

From the light stemming out of this most unfair and troublesome universe,

I would only fill the world with nothing but fables of love and loyalty.

What an amazing patience God has!

But why should I be in His place?

Just as well that it is He who is sitting in His own place

And who has the strength to endure

The ugliness that is born out of human beings!

Otherwise, if I were in His place,

I could never get along so righteously

With the ignorant and the learned alike.

What an amazing patience God has!

What an amazing patience God has!
