About me

Majnun Nabudom

Songs can be as difficult to translate as poetry. They are usually more difficult than stories, which provide linearity and context.

Anyway, that is my excuse.

I first heard this Persian folk song at a music camp in northern California in about 2002 although it has been around for many years. The draft translation here from Farsi is one of my first (2003 or 2004).
